Workshops

Touwtjes.tk  in 2008 offers a bondage workshop programme consisting of three different workshops. The workshops are stand alone,, but there are requirements with regard to knowledge and material for worskhops II and III. The workshops will be taught in The Hague (The Netherlands) and are about 4 hours each. Each of the workshops consists of relevant safety information and information on the background of bondage, several hand-on bondage instructions, and offers practice time to rehearse the bondage under supervisioon or to ask additional questions. The worskhops will be open to three to six couples[1]. They are hands-on workshops, so enrollment is only open to couples (of all orientations). During the workshops, nudity is not required[2], but it is allowed.

Costs: Each workshop costs 100 euro, including coffee/tea and some sandwiches
Special offer: Third workshop - half price

Enrollment: If you're interested, you can  mail us.

Workshop I (Basics I)

Goal of this workshop Baisc I is to gain sufficient knowledge to start doing rope bondage safely. This includes general bondage safety knowledge, knowledge of the materials used for bondage, and learning and practicing some basic ties.  The ties we teach during this workshop are:

- Wrist and ankle ties
- Chest harness and a crotch rope (shinju / matanawa)
- Hands in the neck (kotobo ryu)
- Shin to upper leg (Crab tie / kani)
- A choice between several bondages (karada / alternative chest harness)

Required knowledge: none.
Material: Rope (preferably 6 to 8 pieces of 8 - 9 meter, 6 of 8mm thick).

Workshop II (Basics II)

Goal of our Basics II workshop is to gain enough knowledge to start experimenting with more restrictive and potentially painfull bondages. This requires additional safety knowledge, and includes teaching the "standard" arm-chest harness (or - for those who can't manage fysically, an alternative). This workshop includes:

- Arm-chest harness (takate kote of tasuki-variant)
- Forced bow (ebi)
- Hogtie (hogtie / gyaku ebi)
- A sitting position with bamboo

Required knowledge: General bondage safety and some prior practical experience. Being able to tie the Basics I ties without assistance.
Material: Rope (preferably 6 to 8 pieces of 8 - 9 meter, 6 of 8mm thick).

Workshop III (Advanced)

Goal of this workshop is to start with more risky bondage positions such as strappado and partial suspensions. Again, this requires additional safety information (because yes, partial suspensions are... suspensions), so this workshop requires substantial knowledge and experience and knowledge of each others bodies with regard to bondage. To particpate, we therefore require proof of substantial prior boondage experience, preferably by participating in our Basics II workshop. This workshop covers:

- Strappado, "the somewhat safer way"
- Two or three partial suspenions

Required knowledge: knowledge covered in our Basics I and Basics II workshops and at least some experience with more advanced bondage positions, preferably with the partner you bring. If you haven't participated in our Basics II workshops, we will contact you in advance to discuss your knowledge and bondage skills and ascertain whether or not you can participate. Not just for your own safety, but also because we wat to offer our participants an up-tempo advanced workshop withput slowing down to cover the basics.
Material: Rope (preferably 6 to 8 pieces of 8 - 9 meter, 6 of 8mm thick). NB! Due to the nature of the bondages taught, cotton ropes are not suitable for this workshop. Using hemp, jute or synthetic ropes is required. If necessary, we have limited rope for rent.
