Bondage weekend

The first touwtjes.tk rope bondage weekend (July 7, 8, 9 2006) was a great success!  In beautiful
ClubElysium in Belgium, who, during the weekend, opened up all play spaces for us (and other visitors), we gathered about 40 rope bondage enthusiasts to make it a great weekend event.

Friday

Friday started well with two workshops. One for true beginners and for those who wanted to have the basics explained once more, and afterwards a more advanced workshop using (available) bamboo for a floor bondage position as well as a semi-suspension, after which everyone could enjoy themselves in all play spaces of the club.

Unexepectedly we were joined that night by
Philippe Boxis who presented us with a spontaneous suspension demo, amongst other with a highly flexible pluu.

Saturday

The Saturday was by far the busiest day of the weekend. Early morning we reprised the beginners workshop once more for a group who got so lost on Friday that they missed out the first time. Also, a number of bottoms grabbed the opportunity to take part in the workshop again, this time as rigger. After a short break Natya presented a workshop on BDSM and Body Language, followed by the enrollment for the bondage contest in four rounds.

The idea of the contest was simple. Three rounds with preset mission and one freestyle round. Enrollment as a team, switchin in between rounds is allowed, full suspension is not. Some beginners had to be pulled in with some ensurance that they too would be able to fully participate and even win, but in the end most attendees enrolled and started with mission one: bend your bottom. Many of the more experienced riggers chose classical positions such as ebi, but many beginners came up with more original solutions, amongst others one who took it quite literally and let the sub bow like a puppet on string when the jury passed by.

The second round was an exercise in tying Karada's. Not quite guilty^'s favourite bondage, he had the honour to set the example. The idea was that the participants had to produce at least something better than that. Also, the jury would pay attention to the riggers' appearance and attitude. To complicate matters, the most experienced riggers were blindfolded, presenting the others with a lot of fun atching their attempts. Still, most succeeded quite well and some even managed to look tough tying blindfolded.

The third round took place during the Bondage BBQ: The bottoms had to serve their riggers in bondage for the first half hour. In this round too the bondages varied from somewhat standard through creative to a pretty sadistic rope gag construction. Judging by t5he responses, we think this was the most hated round of the contest :-)

The freestyle round took place in the evening, during the play party. Here most couples did their utmost best and many creative and often demanding bondages were tied often using the Club materials or the previously bought bamboo. Judging this round was as demanding as the jury was often called to the next bondage while still considering the previous one, and the enormous diversity of creations made comparisons difficult.

But finally we could present the winners: Skimble & Allasea, amongst others because of their beautiful creation in the freestyle round.

Sunday

Sunday had an easier schedule. Rob presented a photography workshop, with many tips & tricks to shoot nice pictures with the simplest digital camera's available. The arranged last minute excursion to the local rope factory by ClubElysium unfortunately was cancelled when the rope factory turned out to be closed regardless of the arrangement made. Well, more luck next time, by then the weekend already was a big success, and most participants and staff exhausted :-)

Currently, we have already started making some plans for the next edition!
